Crochet Flower Granny square

Granny squares are fun to make. They come in different styles and colors and really depends on your imagination about what to make. And the best thing is you can use all your scrap yarn to make some original pieces.

Materials:    medium yarn different colors – yellow, pink, turquoise, black

Crochet hook 5,5 mm

Yarn needle, scissors

Popcorn stitch:   Make 5 dc in one st, drop the yarn from the hook, insert the hook from front to back under two loops on the top of the first dc, grab the dropped loop with the hook and slst.

With yellow yarn ch5, insert the hook in the first ch, with slst make a ring. Ch 4 (counts as dc +ch1), *dc, ch1*inside the ring, repeat until you have 12 dc and 12 ch1 space. 

With pink yarn make *popcorn stitch in ch 1 space, ch 2* repeat 12 times (12). With slst finish the round.

Change color – turquoise. Insert the hook in ch2 space and make *3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc in the next ch2 space, ch 1, 3 dc in the next ch 2 space, ch 2, 3 dc in the same space ( first corner)*, repeat 3 more times. With slst finish this round. 

Change the color – black.

Insert the hook in ch1 space and make *3 dc, ch1, 3 dc in the next ch1 space, ch1, 3dc in the next ch1 space,  3 dc in the corner, ch3, 3dc in the same space,* repeat 3 more times. Finish this round with slst.
