Crochet asymmetrical poncho for beginners

Size: medium

Materials: yarn used

medium 4- Red Heart – Roll

with it – Violet – 3 balls

 

Crochet hook 7 mm, yarn needle, scissors

 

Dimensions: 22″ wide, 54″ long, 7″ fringes

R1. – foundation chain dc, ch 3 turn, 62 dc

R2 – dc across the row, ch3, turn

R3. – skip 1st chain, *dc in 2nd chain, dc in skipped 1st ch* – (crossed dc),  repeat across the row, dc in last ch, ch3  and turn.

R 4. – dc across the row, 62 dc

R 5.-84 – repeat row 2 and 3

R 85. – hdc                                                               

To finish your poncho fold the piece in half, on the long side leave an opening for the neck and sew the remaining part. For my poncho I left 15 inches open.

I also attached the fringes for the bottom part of the poncho. 

Cut 15 inches pieces of yarn.  3 pieces together folded in half and attached to the poncho with the crochet hook.
