Crochet matching rainbow hat
This lovely hat is a great match for the rainbow poncho. Exactly one ball of yarn was used for the poncho and the hat.
Stitches used: slst – slip stitch, ch – chain, sc – single crochet, dc – double crochet.
Material: Red Heart Roll With It, sparkle, medium 4, 5mm crochet hook, yarn needle, scissors.
Measurement of the finished hat: wide 18″, height 7,5″.
The hat is made from the crown down to the brim.
Instructions: magic ring, ch 4,
R1 – make 11 dc in the ring, ( 12 dc, ch 4 counts as dc), ch 3
R2 – Make dc in the same st, make 2 dc in each st, (28 st), ch 3
R3 – dc in the same st, *dc in the next st, 2 dc in the next st*, repeat whole round, slst in the first st, ch 3.
R4 – dc in the same st, *dc in the next 2 st, 2 dc in next st*, repeat whole round, slst in the first st, ch 3.
R5 – dc in the same st, *dc in the next 3 st, 2dc in the next st*, repeat whole round, slst in the first st, ch 3.
R6 – make 2 more dc in the same stitch, ch 1, skip 2 st, *3 dc in the next st, ch 1*, repeat whole round, slst in the first st, make 2 slst to reach the ch 1 space
R7 – 3 dc in the ch 1 space, ch 1, *3 dc in the next ch 1 space, ch 1*, repeat whole round, slst in the first st, make 2 slst to reach ch 1 space.
R8 – R15– repeat R7
R16 – R20 – make sc in each stitch around.
Finishing: weave in all the remaining yarn.
