I can already smell spring behind the corner! The days are getting longer and also the sun shine brighter and happier awaiting warmer days. Still, we can experience some snow and freeze.
I just want to smile and feel happy by drinking my coffee and looking at this lovely sunflower coaster.
Stitch Key: ch – chain, dc- double crochet, slst – slip stitch
Dc cluster: yo, insert hook in the stitch, yo, pull through stitch, yo, pull through 2 loops on hook, yo, insert hook in the next stitch, yo, pull yarn through the stitch, yo, pull yarn through 2 loops on the hook, yo, pull yarn through all loop on the hook.
Picot: ch 3, insert hook in the third chain from hook, slst.
Materials: 100% cotton, brown and yellow, crochet hook 5mm, scissors, yarn needle
Instructions: Start with brown yarn.
ch 5, slst in the first ch,
R1: ch3, 9 dc in the ring( 10dc), slst in first dc
R2: ch 3, cluster st in the same ch, ch2, cluster st, ch2 ( 10x cluster ch2), slst in first dc
R3: slst in ch2 space, ch3, 2dc in ch 2 space, ch 1, *3dc in ch2 space, ch1*, repeat 8 x, ( 10x 3 dc , ch1), slst in first dc.
R4: change color- yellow
*3dc in ch1 space, ch3, insert hook in first ch, slst ( picot), 3dc in same space, skip 1 st, sc in next st, skip st*, repeat 10x in each ch1 space.
